Public hearings into Healthcare Funding to start Monday



The Special Commission of Inquiry into Healthcare Funding will commence its public hearings on Monday, 27 November 2023, at 10am at the Chief Secretary’s Building, Level 2, 121 Macquarie Street, Sydney. The hearings will be livestreamed on the homepage of the Inquiry’s website.

Public hearings will provide an opportunity for the Inquiry to hear from a wide range of witnesses, including representatives from the public sector, healthcare representative bodies, service providers, and people with experience of the health system.

Through public hearings the Inquiry will hear evidence about a range of issues, including:

  • The current funding arrangements for health services in NSW
  • How funding arrangements relate to quality and accessibility of healthcare
  • Different models of service delivery
  • The experiences of patients, healthcare workers, and other stakeholders

The Inquiry will deliver the final report to the Governor on or before 24 August 2024.
